Navy carries the healing blue. Twice on this cloth four butas turn out from a single point to make a cross — the figure of the göbək, the quarter-circle stamp pressed at the centre of a kelaghayi to make a cross within a square, read as the navel of the world, sky and earth joined; a tone-on-tone floral ground lies beneath, bouquets banked at the sides. Its name comes from the navy (lacivard) and that cross-figure, göbək.
